Pinyin assist gives you the pinyin for Chinese characters on nciku without you having to look them up on your own.
- Where is the pinyin?

The English site provides pinyin assistance for most of the entries in nciku. On the dictionary pages, search results pages, and in the theme words sections, pinyin is available by placing your mouse cursor over the Chinese characters. For conversations, the pinyin is directly above the Chinese characters. Please note that the pinyin assistance does not work on the main page.

In the search results area, all you have to do is move your mouse over Chinese characters; the corresponding pinyin and the first English definition will then be displayed.

In the word detail area, click on the speaker icon to display the pinyin as well as hear the audio pronunciation of the Chinese characters.
- Can I turn pinyin assist off?

No. The tooltip is embedded in the site code.
- Can I click on words inside of the window?

No. Words inside the pinyin assist window are not links.
