What do I do if I find a bug on nciku?
- Make sure you are on nciku.com, and not nciku.cn or nciku.com.tw. Not all the features are present in all nciku sites. Please read Clarifying the difference of the nciku domain separation from our Blog page.
- Refresh the page to make sure it isn’t a temporary glitch. If you see an error message on the page, please click on the icon and take a screen capture. It’s usually at the bottom left on Internet Explorer.
- If Step 2 didn’t work, clear your Cookies and Temporary Internet Files or Cache, then restart the browser and/or your computer and try the page again.
- Internet Explorer: go to the “Tools” menu, click “Options”, and click “Delete Cookies” and “Delete Files” in the “Temporary Internet Files” area of the General” tab.
- Firefox: go to “Tools”, select “Clear Private Data” and tick the box that says “Cache”. (Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+ Shift + Del)
- Safari: locate the “Safari” menu on the main toolbar. The next step is to click on “Empty Cache”. (Keyboard shortcut: OPTION + COMMAND + E)
- If Step 3 didn’t work, and if you often encounter the same problem, please take a screen capture of the problem and send an email to help (at) nciku.com Let us know what operating system your computer is running (Windows XP Professional, Mac OS-X 10.5.4, Kubuntu 8.04 etc), what your system language is (English, German, Chinese etc) in what browser the problem occurs (IE 7, Firefox 3.1, Safari 2, etc.) and your location (Beijing China, Paris France, New York USA, London UK etc).
- Taking a Screen Capture: If you’re a Windows user, take a screen capture by pressing [Prt Scr] on your keyboard, then go to [start] then [All Programs] then [Accessories] then [Paint] and paste the image of your screen. Save it to attach it to an email.
