What kind of tests are there?
There are four kinds of tests. learning definitions, learning words, dictation, and writing. see image
How do I take a test?
Click on the ‘Memorization Tests’ link on your vocab lists pages, then follow the three steps to start the test. continue reading
Where can I view my completed tests?
Click on the ‘View Test History’ on the memorization tests page to see all of your completed tests. see image
What if I don’t want to finish a test now?
You can leave the test page at any time and it will be saved for later. You can restart the test by viewing your test history and clicking on the unfinished tests.
What words am I tested on?
You can choose to test yourself on words from the selected vocab list that you have not memorized yet, or test yourself on all of the words from the list.
What is the learning definitions test?
Learn new words by writing in the correct definition for the words shown to you. see image
What is the learning words test?
Learn new words by writing the correct words for the definitions shown to you. see image
What is the writing test?
Practice your writing skills by translating the sentence from Chinese to English or English to Chinese. see image
What is the dictation test?
Practice your listening skills by typing in what you hear. see image
What if the test says I’m wrong when the answer I gave is acceptable?
This problem can occur when testing yourself on words that are similar. If you are sure you got it correct and would like to mark the word as memorized, just click on the “Not Memorized” link to change the status of the word to “Memorized.” see images
