English: nciku.com is a Chinese-English and English-Chinese online dictionary aimed at English speakers who are learning Chinese. At the moment it mainly uses Simplified characters, although the Traditional versions of some words are given. 繁體中文: nciku.com.tw is also a Chinese-English and English-Chinese online dictionary focused on the needs of native Chinese speakers, but this site uses Traditional characters. It provides only English at the moment. Look around the site yourself to discover all nciku.com.tw has to offer.

No. nciku is a free online service. You can use all of our features without paying anything; however, you need to sign up to take full advantage of many of our unique services like the vocab lists and the Q&A.
- When was nciku launched?

nciku launched the closed beta version on March 20, 2007 and was officially launched on April 17, 2007. A major upgrade was introduced to the public on December 13, 2007.

Currently, nciku.com only supports simplified Chinese and English, but there are plans to add other languages such as: traditional Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean and German (in no particular order).
